The burnout paradox: understanding that change is needed while feeling unable to effect change
Often, people who experience burnout feel that it’s just impossible to recover.
There is just no way to reduce the demands on your life. Perhaps you could delegate some of what you do, but at what cost? Is the cost of explaining, and teaching somebody else, just more time than you can afford to invest? And if you do decide to delegate, what can you delegate? How much? Would things be done to your standard or will you just have to redo it all anyway?
In order to emerge from the burnout you feel right now, something has to change.
